How to Run a Marxist Business in a Capitalist World

Simon founded his print agency Webmart in 1996. His concept was to blend capitalism and Marxism to create a thriving business, and then share the profits among his workforce and beyond via The Webmart Charitable Trust.

He’s described himself as a “very average northern bloke with troll-like size 13 feet who works hard, connects folks and is perennially curious, be that building business collaborations or doing frankly mental challenges…”

Webmart is now a multi-million £ turnover business. And he’s already won Business Person of the Year twice this year – at the Oxfordshire Business Awards and the Cherwell Business Awards, so we think he has a pretty good idea of what he’s doing!

He loves to share and collaborate ideas and practices too. His own challenges (apart from running the business and engaging his team) include running 156 miles of the Sahara in the Marathon des Sables for Cancer Research last year, and this year climbing Mount Damavand in Iran for Motor Neurone Disease.

And he will challenge you on how you think about life and your approach to business as well. Brilliant. More info on Simon and Webmart
